About Me

Hi there! I'm Alex and I'm a freelance web designer/developer. I would love to build you a website that not only looks fabulous and works beautifully, but that's functionally optimized to help you grow your business!

I got into coding as a fun way to stretch my brain as I pursued my degrees in Theatre, but, as is generally the case, theatre is actually helping me with my coding as I aim to work with efficiency, simplicity, and an open mind.

In my spare time, I love searching for delicious new coffee, gallivanting through libraries, sweating through hot yoga, and pretending I'm a rock star.

Portfolio

Conquer Bootstrap Template w/o Bootstrap

This is a independent project I put together to learn how to code and format a mobile responsive website without the convenience of the Bootstrap framework or even Flexbox. I took the standard Bootstrap theme Conquer and coded a replica.

Clear View Escapes Travel Agency

This was a project that I coded in a workflow course, so the design isn't mine, but I'm able to do everything in the site, including the modal menu and animation features.

Pretty meta, I know, but I designed and coded this entire mobile-responsive website by hand. New elements for me on this project were configuring the mobile menu as well as the contact form

How I Work

I build my websites with HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, as well as JavaScript/JQuery. I really enjoy working with Wordpress as a content management system, because of how customizable it is in terms of design and functionality, and it's also super easy to use and update!
